

Joseph’s House, Inc. is committed to improving the lives of homeless young adults in Guilford County through caring, compassion, love, and instruction with absolute respect and unconditional love by providing shelter, food, clothing, and other supportive services to assist them into becoming self sufficient. In July 2008, the Young Adult Independent Living Program was launched to help fill the gap in services by providing single-family scattered site apartments for homeless young adults experiencing chronic homelessness. The program provides comprehensive case management and other supportive services in order to help young adults achieve stability in health and housing.
Target Population
In order to qualify for the Young Adult Independent Living Program you must be an individual experiencing chronic homelessness between the ages of 18 and 21 and have one or more disabilities.

• Serious Mental Illness
• Chronic Substance Abuser
• Developmental Disability
Refferal Proccess
Participants will be selected through referrals from non- profit organizations, the school system, and through community outreach.
