GED Preparation in Greensboro - Reading Connections - Program helps adults age 18 and over to prepare for the GED exam. The GED tests must be taken at Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC). Both one-to-one and small group classes are offered. Students and tutors meet once per week for an hour and a half in a public place. Students and tutors must provide their own transportation to the site and provide their own childcare during the session. The Greensboro office also has a computer-based program that students can use to study for the GED at their own pace. Locations for classes vary, but are always held in a public place such as a library.

Welfare Reform Liaison Project - The objectives are to provide services that will enable families to secure employment and become economically self-sufficient by providing job training, work experience, group training, job readiness, job development, mentoring, and basic life skills. Partnered with United Way of Greater Greensboro, the Welfare Reform Liaison Project will house and handle the distribution process for large quantity donations. Individuals enrolled in a program learn the skills necessary to work in a warehouse and receive assistance in overcoming barriers such as transportation and childcare that have kept them from succeeding at previous jobs. They also receive assistance in securing employment and case management services.

Delancy Street Foundation - Two-year residential facility helping men and women ex-addicts, alcoholics, and ex-convicts ages 18-68 rebuild their lives. Operates business training programs, such as a moving company, landscaping, and sells Christmas trees during the holidays to generate income. Accepts no government funds and charges no one a fee for help.
