Hope is defined as a confident expectation, a feeling that something desirable will happen or is possible. One of our goals is to find ways to impart hope to those who have been without it for so long. To do this, we need to involve the faith community. Please consider joining together with others within your local congregation to form a HOPE Team. HOPE is an acronym for Honoring God, Obeying His Word, Providing Practical and Spiritual Support, and Enriching lives in our community.
1. WHAT is a HOPE Team?
A HOPE Teams consist of 4-6 highly committed volunteers from local faith communities who focus on providing practical, emotional and spiritual support to friends (individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness and who have recently been placed in permanent supportive housing) for a period of 9 to 12 months.
2. HOW do the teams provide HOPE?
HOPE is provided through faith-based teams, who offer compassionate, non-judgmental care to their friends by supporting, encouraging, and empowering them to acquire the skills necessary to maintain housing while enhancing and improving their quality of life.
3. What support does Partners Ending Homelessness provide?
• Informational Sessions
• Orientation
• Supplemental Workshops & Training

4. HOW much does this project cost team members? There is no direct cost associated with HOPE team participation. Donations directly to friends are discouraged, however if a HOPE Team wants to donate funds or expenditures should be channeled through a staff member for accountability.
