OUR HISTORY

Partners Ending Homelessness (PEH) is a non-profit organization that was established in 2010 to coordinate local efforts, increase advocacy, ensure accountability, and provide administrative oversight for the Guilford County Continuum of Care (CoC). The agency’s role with the CoC underwent changes in 2017 and again in 2021. Currently, Partners Ending Homelessness serves as the Coordinated Entry Lead Agency and the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Lead Agency for the Guilford County CoC. Our agency provides coordinated entry assessment services, facilitates the referral of clients to available housing programs, and connects community members with various resources. While Partner Ending Homelessness is not a housing provider, we serve as a bridge to connect people experiencing homelessness with housing providers and - when possible - landlords and property management companies.

Connect: In our role as the Coordinated Entry Lead Agency, Partners Ending Homelessness works to connect community members with agencies that can assist them in addressing their needs. Partners ending Homelessness strives to foster collaborations, partnerships, and joint initiatives to increase our system’s ability to end homelessness; increase efficiency of system access and housing referrals through Coordinated Entry and Assessment

Support: In our role as the HMIS Lead Agency, Partners Ending Homelessness continues to make efforts to support an effective system of care through data collection and reporting, performance evaluation, and training. This involves making partner agencies aware of best practices as it pertains to the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) database, monitoring and identifying trends, and researching emerging practices that can be of use to our community, our clients, and our agency partners. Our agency assists with the development of system wide strategic objectives that address data quality and performance measures. We capture and analyze data and performance measures required for state and federal grant applications, provide technical assistance and training on data collection, use, and reporting, and compile and submit data for use in annual federal reports. The data collected and monitored by Partners Ending Homelessness allows us to develop data driven approaches and strategies to guide system level management.

Advocate: In our role as a member agency of the Guilford County Continuum of Care, Partners Ending Homelessness continues to explore a variety of advocacy opportunities and methods to raise awareness about homelessness. Our advocacy work includes providing community presentations, contributing to publications, and participating in community engagement events and initiatives.

CONNECT. SUPPORT. ADVOCATE.
